It is recommended that participants wear soft soled flat, enclosed, shoes and clean comfortable clothing. Long hair should be tied up.
This is an introduction to cafe service skills and will provide you with an overveiw of the basic skills and knowledge for cafe workplaces. This class is ideal for anyone wanting to gain valuable skills for use in the hospitality industry and suitable for job seekers.
The focus of this class is on coffee skills and participants will come away with an ABC of Espresso certificate.
You will learn how the espresso coffee menu is constructed, how to extract espresso, how to texture milk and you will practice making espresso drinks.
You will also learn how to safely operate and clean the espresso machine and grinder.
The cafe skills component will focus on the basics of customer service within the food and beverage industry, including food and drink carrying skills and order taking.
Upon successful completion you will recieve an ABC of Espresso certifcate of attendance.
