Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to the products and services, available for purchase via www.angliss.edu.au/shortcourses.

 

Making a Purchase

When a William Angliss Institute Short Course product or service is purchased, the customer must activate the tick box accepting the terms and conditions in order to proceed to payment. By doing this, the customer acknowledges that he/she accepts William Angliss Institute's terms and conditions. Any queries can be directed to:

Declaration

By accepting William Angliss Institute's terms and conditions, it is understood that the customer acknowledges that, to the best of their knowledge and belief, the information provided is correct and complete and that they agree to be bound by the rules and regulations of William Angliss Institute. The customer also authorises the release of information concerning student records to any Government department providing confidentiality is assured.

Who Can Enrol?

Date of birth details are required for all courses booked via http://www.angliss.edu.au/shortcourses No other prerequisites are necessary for courses unless specified.

Children

Due to occupational health and safety factors, persons under the age of 15 years are not permitted to attend courses unless a course is specified to be for children. It is also deemed unsafe for young children to be in attendance classes.

Prices

We reserve the right to change prices without notice. All courses/products not determined as Training for Work or "education" will include GST (Goods & Services Tax Act 1998) in the advertised price.

Confirmation of Booking

A confirmation of enrolment will be emailed to the participant prior to course commencement. Participants will receive a tax invoice as an attachment to the payment confirmation email. Bookings are not confirmed until payment is received.

Attendance

Attendance is expected to be 100%. Please ensure you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to course commencing. Participants arriving later than 15 minutes past scheduled start time will be REFUSED ENTRY into the class / course and will need to transfer to another date.Transfer charges will apply.

Transfers, Cancellations or Refunds

Requests for a transfer / cancellation / refund received five or more business days prior to course commencement will attract a $20.00 administration fee.

Requests for a transfer / cancellation / refund received less than five business days prior to course commencement will attract a fee of 50% of the course price.

No refunds apply once classes have commenced.

Online course purchases will only attract a refund in the event that the course has not been accessed and commenced. The customer must contact William Angliss Institute within 48hours of the time of user access created to request a refund in the event the course was incorrectly purchased

No refunds apply for change of mind reasons

These charges do not apply to courses cancelled by William Angliss Institute.

Course Cancellation

If insufficient enrolments are received, classes may be cancelled. Participants will be advised no later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled course commencement date. If the course is cancelled, participants will have the option to transfer to another course or gain a full refund.

Gift Vouchers/Course Vouchers

No refunds will be given on gift or course vouchers.

Gift/ Course Voucher Expiry

William Angliss Institute gift and course vouchers must be used within 36 months of purchase.

Gift or Course Voucher Delivery

All William Angliss Institute gift/course vouchers are delivered via email. William Angliss Institute is not liable or responsible for any loss suffered as a result of a voucher via email being blocked by filters or firewalls, or where the incorrect email address has been entered by the customer.

If the recipient does not receive the emailed voucher, please contact us immediately on 1300 ANGLISS or email: shortcourses@angliss.edu.au to arrange alternative delivery.

Dress

Due to occupational health and safety factors and the comfort of course participants it is recommended that soft soled flat shoes are worn.

Credits for Courses

Nationally recognised courses provide a Statement of Attainment Certificate and can lead to credit in other programs.

Assessment

The successful completion of all nationally recognised courses requires demonstration of competence to workplace standard in all the requirements of that course. Some flexibility is available to allow for differing training situations. The course instructor will provide information about the assessment process.

A range of assessment practices are used to assess competency including:

– Individual and group assignments

– Case studies

– Practical demonstrations

– Practical experience

– Interviews

– Written questions

– Presentations

A Statement of Attainment Certificate will be given to those people who successfully complete the units of competency or accredited units.

By signing up as a member to the Short Courses website, you agree to receive email communications from William Angliss Institute. These communications can be unsubscribed from via the ‘unsubscribe’ button on each email communication.
