- Once the online course has been purchased, and enrolment form completed, you will be e-mailed a login details that give you access to the course learning materials to read in advance.

- Zoom invitation:  A day before the course commencement date, you will be e-mailed a Zoom invitation to join the class on the day.

Prerequisites

- PC/ laptop, with internet, Speakers, a microphone, and webcam either built-in or attached to your computer, students have to be seen & heard during course duration for 6 hours.

- Phones are not recommended.

Please note:  A good Understanding of written and spoken English is required to undertake this course: if not, you will need to enroll for the Face to Face RSA shourt course we offer, and will be required to organise a NATTI interpreter to be present in the class to Translate: Please advise prior to the class if you are bringing an interpreter.

- An understanding of the Victorian liquor industry, benefits of responsible service, underage, packaged liquor, functions and dealing with problem patrons.

 

What You Get

- LCV Certificate on the day, upon successfully completion of the Training, you will be emailed your Liquor Control Victoria (LCV) branded RSA certificate (PDF), (LCV certificate allows you to work in a licensed venues throughout Victoria)

- Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment (SITHFAB021) RSA certificate (email to you within 2 weeks)

- Employment Skills.

Photo identification to be shown (i.e. driver’s license, passport, Keypass, Proof of Age Card, etc.)

Note pad and pen for notetaking.

Our short course via zoom are interactive and delivered in real-time via Zoom by Experienced trainers and hospitality experts, you will have the chance to ask questions and join in activities, just as you would in any face to face class.

RSA Training is mandatory for licensees and staff selling, offering or serving liquor for general, on-premises, late night and packaged liquor licenses.

This course applies to any staff in Victoria working where alcohol is sold or served, including all types of hospitality, tourism and events venues. Packaged liquor outlets and wineries, breweries and distilleries.

RSA training covers the following:

- How to recognise and professionally deal with intoxicated customers and underage persons.

- Creation of safe and social atmospheres' at venues.

- An understanding of liquor licensing requirements of staff enabling course participants to be industry ready and confident.

The Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment SITHFAB021 RSA describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to responsibly sell of serve alcohol, and covers RSA skill and knowledge requirements common across Australia.

In some cases after completion of this unit, some jurisdictions liquor authorities require candidates to complete a bridging course to address the specific differences between states and territories).

 

Please note:

- Learners must be 16 years of age and over at the time of course commencement, Students will not able to use the LCV RSA Certificate until they are age of 18th years old.

- The LCV RSA certificate is valid for three years, then you need to complete an online refresher course every 3 years and before the Certificate expiry date.

ASSESSMENT:

At completion of the presentation, Assessment comprises a mix of active participation, practical demonstrations, and completion of written questions.

- Knowledge questions x 20–100% pass rate. This is an open book assessment and requires the participant to correctly answer 20 questions.

LCV RSA Questions X 20 – 70% Pass rate (this test will be provided and completed during the class on the day).
