William Angliss Institute

Established in 1940, William Angliss Institute is the largest specialist provider of food, tourism, hospitality and events training in the Southern Hemisphere. The Institute operates nationally across Australia and internationally, offering industry focused training from our onshore and overseas campuses. With over 22,000 enrolments annually, William Angliss Institute delivers a range of Short Courses, Vocational Certificates (Certificate I to IV), Diplomas & Advanced Diplomas, to Bachelor and Master Degrees.

As an approved training provider and along with a group of stakeholders William Angliss Institute Sydney were involved in the development of the new Licensee Training and Advanced Licensee Training program in partnership with NSW Liquor and Gaming.

The tiered Industry Training Framework that has been developed builds on existing Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) training and enhances the professionalism of the liquor industry. The new training courses include:

Licensee training – Compulsory for some new licensees but also available to team leaders, managers and club secretaries Advanced Licensee training – an additional course for those who may operate a business in a higher risk environment, such as businesses authorised to trade after midnight.

The material we helped to develop is intended to support learning by providing knowledge requirements under NSW State liquor laws for employees involved in the sale or service of alcohol. Our training will be offered as face to face in a classroom-environment at our modern Campus in Alexandria NSW, at your premises if you have a minimum of 15 participants and we will also be conducting training across various rural locations throughout NSW
