Prerequisites
A good understanding of written and spoken English is required to undertake this course.
What You Learn
The following topics are covered:
- The principles of responsible service of alcohol
- Assist customers to drink within appropriate limits
- Assess alcohol affected customers and identify those to whom sale or service must be refused
- Refuse to provide alcohol
You will be required to research your state/territory legislation.

Materials to Bring
As this course is online you will be required to record Simulations and you will need to ensure you have a working camera and microphone/speaker.
You are also required to supply a USI Number (this must match the legal name you have provided). If you don’t have one, please apply for one via this link: www.usi.gov.au

This course comprises of 1 nationally recognised unit of competency (SITHFAB021 – Provide responsible service of alcohol). This unit is currently recognised in Western Australia, South Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland, the Australian Capital Territory and Tasmania.
Once the course has been purchased, the students will receive the link to access the learning management system.
Participants have 3 months and 3 attempts from the online enrolment date to complete the unit assessments and upon successful completion of all the assessment elements, will receive a William Angliss Statement of Attainment for Skill Set SITSS00071.
If after the third attempt students have not been deemed competent, the unit will be archived and they will be required to re-purchase the course.
Units will be archived once the course has expired, students can request an extension however this will not be granted after the expiry date has passed and only if regular progress has been made.
Refunds will not be processed for change of mind once the unit has been assigned and/or started.
