This skill set is suitable for enterprise trainers and assessors working in an enterprise Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or in an enterprise that works together with an RTO in an auspicing arrangement. These people deliver and assess nationally endorsed units or qualifications.

This skill set consists of 4 units of competency:

  • TAEDEL301 Provide work skill instruction
  • TAEASS401 Plan assessment activities and processes
  • TAEASS402 Assess competence
  • TAEASS403 Participate in assessment validation

Please note: To complete this skill set you must have the following:

  • Candidates MUST have access to a qualified assessor that holds any of these qualifications TAE40110 / TAE40116 / TAE50111 / TAE50116
  • Written, reading and spoken English to read and interpret a range of documentation, develop and draft various documents, use clear language to participate in verbal conversations
  • A computer with the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader and Microsoft Word
  • Internet access using current browsers e.g. Safari, Chrome, Firefox
  • Contact may be conducted via Skype/Zoom, so this capabilty needs to be considered
  • Access to a recording device, such as a smartphone, to record particular assessment tasks
  • Candidates should have access to an operational training and assessment environment providing an opportunity for applying skills and knowledge and for undertaking relevant work activities that address the performance requirements of these units of competency.

What you get

  • This skill set consists of 3 core units and 1 (possible) elective unit from the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • You will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the Enterprise Trainer and Assessor Skill Set (TAEDEL301 Provide work skill instruction, TAEASS401 Plan assessment activities and processes, TAEASS402 Assess competence, TAEASS403 Participate in assessment validation)

What you learn

  • This skill set trains the essential vocational activities including how to plan, implement and participate in competency based training and assessment activities and processes.
  • The Standards for RTO’s 2015 states that RTO’s must undertake validation activities.  This skill set enables you to understand the assessment process and participate in validation activities.
