Prerequisites
Please note: A good understanding of written and spoken English is required to undertake this course; if not, you will be required to organise a NATTI interpreter to be present in the class to translate; please advise prior to the class if you are bringing an interpreter.
Participants need to provide a copy of their certificate/s containing the unit code SITXFSA001 as proof of previous training.

How to supervise food handling in the business and make sure it is done safely.

A Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for the unit of competencies 'SITXFSA001 - Use hygienic practices for food safety' and ‘SITXFSA002 – Participate in safe food handling practices’.

Dress Code
Participants are advised to wear flat, enclosed, rubber soled shoes for comfort and safety. To ensure food safety procedures are followed, long hair should be tied back and all unnecessary jewellery removed.
Every food business is required to have a food safety supervisor. This intensive one-day course includes visits to food operations sites as part of the assessment and provides supervisors in hospitality businesses with the required certification, 'Participate in safe food handling practices' (SITXFSA002), for the role of Food Safety Supervisor.
Please note: Food Handlers Course (SITXFSA001) is a compulsory prerequisite for this course. Copy of certificate/s containing the code SITXFSA001 are required as proof of previous training. Certificates without this code are not acceptable.
