The Entertainer Series - NEW

With the ever increasing price of eating out, there has been a gradual shift to hosting at home. This shift has caused people to consider the need to expand and enhance their culinary skills. The Entertainer Series will address the entertainer in all of us and will help you to realise your creative flair!

The Entertainer Series is more than just about food on a plate and recipes on a page. This new and exciting course will take you to the next level in hosting your guests for lunch or dinner. It will include recipe planning, timing, shopping, preparation, the cooking and presentation. This course is a 4 part series that will guide you through the seasons and how to make the best of the food available in a variety of cooking methods that best suit the produce.

Four Single Sessions:
10:00am – 4:00pm

Part 1: The Summer Menu – BBQ and Salads

With our Caribbean chef, we will inject amazing flavours, heaps of fun and great presentation techniques into your next barbeque. Learn how to prepare great recipes, cook up awesome dishes and enjoy with a glass of beer or wine while our chef shows you how to calypso! The class starts in the kitchen with hands-on preparation of the dishes that ideally suit a BBQ environment – creative, delicious and easy to prepare. From the perfect steak and tender chicken to creating a series of amazing salads ranging from the simple to the multi-layered and presenting it with style. Use the freshest seasonal vegetables (raw and cooked) combined with a variety of meats, poultry and fish, to make your salad take centre stage at meal times.


Part 2: The Autumn Menu – Mediterranean Fare

As the temperature cools down and the kitchens heat up, we take you on a journey full of beautiful Mediterranean food full of wonderful flavours. We celebrate the last of the seafood haul, graze through a tender menu of grilled meats and devour decadent desserts with a glass of wine or beer. This course is a hands-on preparation of the seafood and meat dishes in a Mediterranean inspired style, together with delicious and easy to prepare desserts.
