Perform Microbiological Processes in the Food Industry

Due to new certification requirements by RABQSA applicable from the beginning of 2011 for national food safety auditors, it will be necessary to have either a background in food science or evidence of 40 hours of work experience in microbiology. To assist people who do not have a food science certification, William Angliss Institute will offer the unit, Perform Microbiological Procedures in the Food Industry (VBP035) from the Certificate IV in Food Science and Technology.  This unit will provide the necessary 40 plus hours of class contact training relative to the food service and hospitality industry to meet the new national certification requirements. Participants will be engaged in a combination of theoretical and practical microbiology and its application to the hospitality industry.
Online reading material will be also available.
