Junior Chef Patisserie

The Junior Chef Patisserie program will operate over three week day classes during the school holiday period. These classes are open to all levels of skill and will include pastry making, biscuit making and the art of decorating. As well as learning valuable baking skills, students will learn how to design and decorate biscuits, how to mould shapes and figures and decorate a novelty cake. The classes are designed to teach skills and knowledge whilst at the same time have some fun. The students will take home all they make... if there is anything left after class!!

This program commences with an introductory lesson that helps all students assimilate into the kitchen, the chef will firstly demonstrate the process and then guide the students through the hands-on task of making all the products.

The course will include:

  • An age group tailored course

  • Lots of take-home dishes

Core training:

  • Food Hygiene
  • Basic Knife Skills
  • Pastry Making and Decoration techniques
  • Kitchen safety

Baking Classes:

  • Course Introduction/Knife Skills/Pastry making - Savoury
  • Pastry making - Sweet
  • Cake (and cupcake) and Cookie Decoration

3 Week Day Classes, 10am-2pm.
